Service Description
Target Audience: Construction workers, maintenance personnel, and facility managers who will be assembling, operating, dismantling, or working from suspended scaffolding systems. Course Objective: To provide participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely work with and operate suspended scaffold systems, in accordance with OSHA standards and industry best practices. Key Learning Modules: - Introduction & Regulations: Overview of suspended scaffold systems and a review of relevant OSHA safety standards and responsibilities. - Hazard Recognition & Prevention: Identifying common hazards like falls, electrocution, and falling objects. Developing a pre-operation risk assessment and emergency rescue plan. - System Components & Inspection: In-depth review and hands-on inspection of critical components, including outrigger beams, counterweights, hoists, wire ropes, and platform parts. - Hands-On Practical Session: Supervised practice in the proper assembly, function testing, dismantling, and safe operation of a swing stage system. - Fall Protection & PPE: Instruction on the mandatory use of a full-body harness, independent lifelines, and correct anchoring techniques for fall arrest. Outcome: Upon successful completion, participants will be able to recognize hazards, perform thorough equipment inspections, understand load capacities, and safely assemble, operate, and disassemble basic suspended scaffold systems while utilizing appropriate fall protection.
