Topics: • This course is an OHSA based program and is compliant with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Book 7 Temporary Conditions requirement. • Traffic Control Person Training program instructs participants how to safely perform their duties and responsibilities in temporary traffic environments. • How to develop an effective traffic control plan, how to recognize, evaluate and control hazards related to road construction, and explains the importance of wearing the proper protective equipment. Purpose: • Purpose of traffic control. • Traffic control devices. • Temporary work zone design. • Implementing temporary traffic. Learning Outcomes: Identify traffic and other replated hazards in temporary work zones. Identify legislation relevant to temporary work zones and list legislated requirements of traffic protection planning. Describe the purpose, and composition of traffic protection plans and traffic control plans.
